Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what we will not do. Last updated September 9, 2026.

Your searches

When you run a full screen we store the name, the classes and the results, so the PDF report can be generated and retrieved. Names people screen are commercially sensitive — a name being checked has usually not launched yet.

We do not publish, sell or share the names you search. We do not publish "most searched names" lists or anything else that could reveal an unlaunched brand to a competitor. Any public statistics we publish come from USPTO records, never from user searches.

Accounts

If you create an account we store your email address and a hashed password. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored or recoverable in plain text. Watch lists are stored so monitoring can run.

Email

We email you monitoring alerts you asked for, and messages about your account. We do not sell your address or use it for unrelated marketing.

Cookies

A session cookie keeps you logged in. That is its only purpose.

Data we publish

Our guides, statistics and rankings are built entirely from USPTO public records: applications, registrations, assignments and Board proceedings. Attorney and party names in those records are public information. If you appear in a published listing and would prefer not to, contact us and we will remove it — no reason required.

Retention and deletion

Ask us to delete your account and we will remove it, your watch lists and your saved searches.
